GO VISIT THE PLAYGROUNDS TO GET A GOOD VIEW OF THE NEW STRUCTURES. TRIVIA: The last time a playground was named in Creekside East was back in 1988 by Brittany Gorman, a Creek View student. Brittany is probably 30 years old by now. The name that won was "Creekside Colossas." The old Colossas playground was replaced by a new and improved play structure, which now needs a new name. It is your time to make your mark in Creekside East history just as Brittany did 27 years ago. BE CREATIVE AND GOOD LUCK! ***first entry was received 9/28/15 The movie showing of "DESPICABLE ME" was GREAT! There were about 90+ adults and kids that came out to enjoy a fun family night out. The light cool breeze was an added plus to end the long hot muggy day. This year's movie was shown at the large pool behind the tennis courts. The large lawn area was used for seating and the chain link fence was used for hanging the movie screen. The location was also close to a small playground and a large turf area for kids to play. Community volunteers helped families sign in, handed out raffle tickets, and helped at the concession table, serving hot popcorn & cold water.
Several raffles took place during intermission. There was 1 special raffle drawing, which included all families that e-mailed their movie choice. The Le Vassar family won the special raffle, receiving the movie "Despicable Me". There were also 17 raffle tickets drawn during intermission for kids toys. Movie sponsors included Vintage Management and Brickman Landscape Company. Katie Kerr also donated glow sticks for kids, which proved to be very popular. This event could not have taken place if it were not for the efforts of projectionist Flynn, Christian, and also concession table volunteers Jenn, Yvonne, Gertrude, Barbara, Irene, and set-up and take down volunteers Chris and Frank. In addition, we had help from California Patrol officers during set-up and take-down and they monitored the event. We look forward to more movie nights next summer! Please send your comments on what you liked about the event and what areas could make the event better. Thanks for your support! This year marks the City of Ontario's 29th Annual National Night Out event. Ontario National Night Out (also known as "America's Night Out Against Crime") took place on Thursday, July 30th. Residents throughout Ontario, including Creekside, came together to celebrate the unity of residents involved in neighborhood watch groups and also to strengthen police/community relations. The Ontario Police Department hosted the event and sent out special guests to each block party including; police officers driving a 1/2 police car 1/2 taxi cab, a canine unit, McGruff the anti-crime dog, Senior patrol officers SPOT, police officers on motorcycle, gang unit & probation officer, and some parties were treated to a BIG RED TRUCK courtesy of the Ontario Fire Department. For information on starting a Neighbor Watch program on your street and hosting a block party next year contact Ontario Police Department Crime Prevention Unit at (909) 395-2939 or [email protected]

Creekside is working collaboratively with the Colony High Graphics Department to refresh the Creekside East logo. The four logos were designed by Colony High student, Jordan Michalski. Please head over to the Creekside East Exchange Facebook page to vote on your favorite. Voting will end April 6th. We are hoping to have a final refreshed logo design to present at the April 9th Home Owners Association Board meeting. Your help with this matter is greatly appreciated.
