PATROL SERVICES IN CREEKSIDE EAST

Patrol vs Security
- Patrol to keep watch over (an area) by regularly walking or traveling around. Security  to be secure, freedom from danger (safety), & guarantee of protection.

- Creekside East HOA first employed Patrol Services when there was an increase in vandalism to community common area property.  Patrol Services were contracted to provide a high visual presence in the community to deter crime and vandalism.

- Patrol officers were to observe & report any suspicious activity or vandalism to Ontario Police Dept.  Patrol Services were never intended to provide protection for residential & personal property, which can create a false sense of security.

Duties of a Patrol Officer
The follow Post Orders were written specifically for the Community and agreed upon as part of the contracted services.

- Patrol Services are contracted for a patrol officer 24/7 to patrol common area grounds. On Friday & Saturday a 2nd patrol officer is on duty for 7hrs a day and on Sunday on duty for 6hrs.

- Patrol common area grounds in patrol car, on foot or on bicycle (areas include but not limited to pools, parks, green belts, perimeter of community and other amenities in Master HOA). There are no Master HOA amenities in the sub-associations of Papillon, Country Oaks and Oak Creek.

- During School year (morning & afternoon) patrol areas around schools, including but not limited to walkways in community. Maintain high visibility in the community to deter crime, vandalism and loitering.

- Observe and Report to Ontario Police Dept. any suspicious activity observed while patrolling the common area within the Master Association.

- Complete daily activity reports (DAR), reporting incidents of crime and property damage, loitering, graffiti, vandalism and safety issues (i.e. community & city lights out, and unlocked doors etc.).

- Report any community maintenance issues including but not limited to; lifted sidewalks, water line breaks, etc.)

- Receive on site calls from residents reporting suspicious activity.  Patrol officer will prompt residents to report incident they observe in their tract of homes to the police department.  Officers will note any incident provided by residents to look out for when on routine patrol of common area property in the Community.

- Director of Patrol Services attends monthly board meetings to deliver and present the monthly report on community incidents, property damage and maintenance issues.
