Easter Event "2021" - Saturday, April 3rd
The Easter hunt was a HUGE success and a fun event for all. Residents young and old and in-between came out to hunt for Easter eggs and join the scavenger hunt. The Easter Bunny was on hand to start the hunt and lingered around visiting with children and their families to pose for pictures. And what a day it was, the sun was out and spring was in the air as families gathered to enjoy the morning hunt. There were 3 golden egg winners, one from each age group.
After the egg hunt families were off on the next hunt...a scavenger hunt to find Easter decorations from the clues they were given. They had to find all 12 clues before they could return to claim their prize. The first three families rushed back to Pool#2 and claimed their prizes. The scavenger hunters that came back after all prizes were given out said they enjoyed the hunt and the most difficult clues was finding the frog at the house on Fox in the Glen street🤣😂!
A Joyous day was had in Creekside East by all those children and their families that came out to the event. Thank You for your participation.
The volunteers also enjoyed the event and they all deserve a round of applause 👏👏... no event is possible without volunteers and so thanks goes out to Tony & Norma Aguirre, Sharon Thompson, Anna Mendez, Melissa Owens and to Lisa for the delicious cupcakes and Very, very special Thanks to Brenda Withney.
This is what community is all about... children will go away with great memories growing up in Creekside East. There were also some Creekside residents that volunteered their homes to be the 12 sites for the scavenger hunt, so THANK YOU goes out to Melissa, Eve, Anna, Dora, Lisa D., Hernandez Family #1, Hernandez family #2, Lisa, Brenda, Tony & Norma, Bermudez family & Amanda.
Have a Great and Glorious Easter Creeksider's

MARCH 20, 2021 - CREEKSIDE EAST RESIDENTS
SHRED EVENT AND FOOD DRIVE. 😁
Today's shred event had a high turnout, compared to the past three years it has been held in Creekside East.
Since the "2020" shred event was cancelled due to COVID many residents had lots of paper saved up to shred in "2021". People were waiting in line before 9am for the shred truck to arrive....and waiting and waiting YES the truck was late... and it was raining a little bit....worried YES! Then the truck miraculously appeared and the shredding began. The drive thru line worked out well as, residents did not have to exit their vehicle and or unload their boxes or bags of paper to be shredded. A special thank goes out to all the residents who patiently waited in line for the truck to arrive. Also, a thanks to all who provided an ID and abided with the request from the shred company to social distance to keep their staff safe.
As for the FOOD DRIVE it was AWESOME!! Creekside East residents were so generous with their donations and this time they out did themselves. KUDOS Creeksiders! All food items collected was donated to T.O.U.C.H Ministries (Touched Ones United Creating Hope) an outreach based ministry that reaches the homeless and needy throughout the Inland Empire.
The event was a success because of the residents who participated and the volunteers (Anna Mendez, Belinda Harris). Thank you also to our Patrol officers and handyman who helped set up for the event.

MARCH 16, 2021 - Community Meeting with Ontario PD
POLICE CARS IN CREEKSIDE EAST
The Ontario Police Department visited Creekside East as scheduled, even though the fire work explosion in the City kept them busy all day and into the evening. We were fortunate to have 8 representatives from the police department and 43 community residents in attendance. Residents asked questions and voiced their concerns about speeding in the community, not stopping at stop signs, traffic speeding on Haven Ave. and much more. The meeting started a little after 6pm and ended about 7:30pm. Police stayed a while longer to talk to residents and answer more of their questions. Refreshments served were coffee and Girl Scout cookies (purchased from local troop #2224).
The meeting was our very own CREEKSIDE VILLAGE EAST COFFEE WITH A COP event!
Officers provided feedback on traffic violations and information on traffic calming devices (FLOCK cameras, speed bumps, speed monitors like the one on Haven Ave). Thanks to Mr. Perez a Creekside resident, there was a representative from FLOCK present at the meeting to provide information about FLOCK cameras being used in Ontario and surrounding cities. The Community Engagement Team (CET) formerly know as the Crime Prevention Unit provided stats on incident calls for Creekside East. The CET team reported that the majority of reports focused on vehicle speeding, medical assistance, and calls for extra patrols. It was also mentioned that police have responded by adding extra patrols in the community. The volume of police calls over the past 9 months from community members was reported at 1150 call, on average about 128 calls per month, which was noted as concerned residents and good neighbors watching out for each other. So, keep up the good work Creekside East residents and continue to REPORT REPORT REPORT any crime you see happening or anything suspicious to OPD.
A special thank you to Ontario Police Department Capt. Lopez and Dolores Kuan from the Community Engagement Team who helped put the officers and CET staff together for the meeting. And to all the officers who came out to meet residents and address their concerns, your efforts to engage with the residents was Greatly Appreciated!
To the Creekside East volunteers a congrats on a job well done! Special thank you goes out to volunteers Norma & Tony Aguirre who greeted residents as they entered the meeting and Eric Callender who was the sound man for the nights event. In addition, a thank you to all Board members who attended the meeting and to RADAR patrol Supervisor Mr. Anzaldi who attended the meeting to inform residents about their job and how the community patrol connects with the OPD. A message of appreciation goes out to the community patrol officers and our community handyman for setting up the seating for the event.
Saved the best for the last and most important!! The meeting would not have been a meeting without the residents that attended, yes all 43 of you. So THANK YOU to all Creekside East residents that came out on a cold chilly night to voice your concerns to OPD; ask them questions; and let them know how much they are appreciated.
On behalf of the HOA each of the police staff received a paper replica of a police car filled with candy and all the residents in attendance received a Creekside Village East blue lanyard for pool keys and cards.
